Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully before renting a vehicle from Petras Rental. Your use of our services constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Vehicle Rental Conditions

  • The mentioned car types are indicative only and subject to availability.
  • Rental days are calculated on a 24-hour basis, starting from the vehicle pick-up time.
  • All vehicles must be returned to the agreed location unless prior arrangements have been made.

Driver Requirements

  • All renters must hold a valid EU or International Driving License.
  • Driver must be 24+ years old, with driver's license held for minimum 3 years.
  • Additional drivers must meet the same requirements and be registered at pickup.
  • Service will not be provided for any unconfirmed reservation.
  • Valid identification (passport or national ID) is required at pickup.

Rental Terms

  • Fuel policy: Cars must be returned at the same fuel level as delivery.
  • Late return charges apply after the agreed return time (24-hour grace period).
  • Early returns do not qualify for refunds unless previously agreed.
  • Vehicle inspections are conducted at pickup and return.
  • Any damages must be reported immediately to our office.

Important: Not Covered by Insurance

Please note that the following are NOT covered by any insurance and may result in charges to the renter:

  • Damage caused by driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless driving, or traffic law violations
  • All traffic fines resulting from violations of Greek traffic regulations
  • Damage to the underside of the vehicle, wheels, tires, roof, and interior
  • Loss or damage to vehicle keys, GPS devices, or child seats
  • Off-road driving on dirt roads or unauthorized terrain
  • Damages if driver fails to stop after an accident and take necessary actions
  • Transporting the vehicle outside Crete island

Cancellation Rights

The company reserves the right to cancel any reservation at any point if:

  • The renter uses the car for unfair and illegal purposes (smuggling, theft, illegal transport)
  • The driver uses the car for any kind of racing or competition
  • Traffic violations result in license plate confiscation by police
